Dr. Carlos A.Ricotti

Dr. Carlos A.Ricotti is board-certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology, by the American Boards of Dermatology and Pathology. His practice of medicine has focused on the clinical pathological correlation of complex dermatological conditions to provide the best care for patients. He has been practicing Dermatopathology since 2009 and actively sees patients both in outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings.

 
Dr. Carlos Ricotti completed his residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami, followed by a Dermatopathology Fellowship at the University of Texas, Southwestern in Dallas. Subsequent to fellowship he was a faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern and then staff physician for the University of Miami Hospitals Inpatient Dermatology Unit.  In 2010 he started his Dermatopathology referral service in South Florida and currently directs and manages the VitroDermatopathology service.  Dr. Ricotti has extensively published in peer review scientific journals, authored book chapters for dermatology texts and has  been an invited speaker on dermatological conditions at local, national and international medical conferences.  His interest in advancing the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of dermatology continues as an active investigator in several clinical trials.


His compassionate and professional approach extends beyond the pathology specimen and as a result Dr. Ricotti has always made himself easily available to referring physicians. Easy access to a Dermatologist/Dermatopathologist to share in patient care, results in optimized diagnostic and management outcomes.  As a result he guarantees flexible availability, and reachability via personal cellphone and/or email.
